‘First Choice’ – the new premium used trucks scheme from DAF

First Choice – a new DAF premium used trucks programme DAF ‘First Choice’ used trucks are:
- up to 5 years old with a maximum mileage of 600,000 km
- have six months First Choice Care – DAF’s own warranty
- covered by DAFaid European breakdown assistance
- mechanically and cosmetically checked and reconditioned, so ready to drive
- and offered with repair and maintenance contracts

DAF has introduced a new, premium used trucks scheme called First Choice for carefully selected models that meet its strict criteria of being no more than five years old with a maximum mileage of 600,000km on tractor units, and are offered with a class-leading warranty package. First Choice LF used vehicles up to 16 tonnes GVW and multi-axle rigids have a maximum mileage of 300,000km whilst 18 tonne rigids can be up to 400,000km.

The new scheme runs alongside the existing DAF used trucks programme, but for added peace of mind, has two key differences – a First Choice Care warranty operated by DAF and sold virtually ready for immediate delivery as they are inspected and fully reconditioned to showroom standard prior to going on the forecourt.

First Choice Care is DAF’s own warranty system operated from its UK head office in Oxfordshire, with the convenience of an extensive DAF nationwide network to directly handle any claims. Further care and reassurance is provided for First Choice used trucks by DAFaid, the fastest breakdown assistance service, offering European Roadside Assistance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

All DAF models - LF, CF and XF - will be available for the First Choice programme, as long as they meet the strict criteria, offering operators a full spectrum of vehicles for every need.

Just like new vehicles, optional service and maintenance contracts are available for all First Choice used trucks, as well as competitive finance programmes from DAF’s in house finance company, PACCAR Financial.
